Race 2 Glory Adventure Race

Fran Rea & Sharon Martin were up in Kiltimagh today in glorious sunshine completing another Adventure Race.

Tough conditions to Race in when most headed for the beach but excellent races from both and a determined finish saw Sharon win a Bronze medal.

Congratulations

National Juvenile Championships

Tullamore was basked in glorious as the shaded spots were coveted among spectators. The top athletes from around the country assembled proudly wearing their club colours. Hats, suncream and cool drinks were the order of the day as athletes tried to keep cool in between events.

It was a fantastic day for our club as we had three athletes who qualified to compete: Josh Nolan, Elijah Page Redmond and Lucas Page Redmond.

Elijah was competing in javelin and threw a very impressive 44.10 metres which was enough to secure a National Bronze medal. He then finished 3rd in his 200m heat.

Josh Nolan was also competing in javelin and he threw a new PB for himself of 43.56 metres which was enough to secure 5th place.

Lucas finished 4th in his long jump competition with a might 6.03 metre jump.

Fantastic results from these 3 fine ambassadors of Menapians AC.

Glenbeigh-Glencar 5K & Hardman Half Triathlon Waterville

Siobhan Doyle & Tadhg Henderson were busy while in the Kingdom, County Kerry.

Tadhg was taking part in the Hardman Half Ironman and he confirmed in his own words that it was hard finishing in 8hrs 6 mins.

Siobhan ran the Glenbeigh/Glencar 5k in 34:39

Considering the conditions both were very happy to cross the finish line

IMRA Kilbrannish

Sharon Martin was still feeling fresh after her exploits in Kiltimagh so she found herself at John's Hill Kilbrannish.

Another determined run from Sharon showing true grit completing the race.

Great weekend of racing from Sharon, who has earned a well deserved rest this evening.
