South Leinster Track & Field

The South Leinster Track & Field was held in Carlow on Thursday and three of our athletes were representing their schools.

Fiachra Mehigan, was part of the Wexford CBS Minor relay team who qualified for the final but missed out on qualifying for the Leinster final. He was also competing in long jump 6th with a pb jump, 500m 5th and 100m. place.

Elijah Page Redmond got 3rd overall for 200m under 16 Intermediate representing St Peters College.

Well done to all three athletes.

Up at Wexford Racecourse parkrun this week Brian Smyth, Eamonn Foley, John Dier, Gareth Lloyd, Marion Galvin, Enda O'Sullivan, Rob Casey,Michael Murphy, Bridie McGuire, Gráinne Hayes, Ollie Stack, Martin Kelly & Dermot Foley all completed their 5k.

Established in 2001, Menapians AC is a club for all - all ages and all abilities. With strong links to the local community, the club provides a welcoming, highly sociable expert-led base for its members. The club is part of the Athletics Wexford countywide network and is affiliated to the Athletics Association of Ireland (AAI). In broad terms, our aim is to instil in our members a love of athletics in all its forms and to help each and every one become the best that they can be.
