Mr Oil County Track & Field 2026

A busy Wednesday evening as the County T& F started with Day 1 of competition.

Our athletes were busy across a variety of events on the night, mainly the clubs women to be fair along with men's captain John and a few young guns

The weather was kind as our crew competed over walks, distance, sprints and throws giving a good account of themselves. Some were experiencing their first T&F event while others have many under their belt.

I think it's fair to say everyone enjoyed the competition with some taking home County medals.

Well done to everyone who competed and congratulations to our medal winners.

A word of thanks to our volunteers on the night, the County Board & Wexford Marathon Club and everyone involved in the organisation of last night.

Viking Marathon Race Series.

A glorious morning which had athletes wondering had they travelled abroad as the temperatures continued to rise from early morning in Waterford on Sunday morning.

A very popular event which offers a Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k all at the same time. The Half and 10k were the two which our members focused on.

An old face re-appeared who has not been seen on our reports for quite some time, nice to see you Barry.

Excellent running by all as they battled the heat. Well done to each of you.

Some even managed a PB on the day !

*10k results:

  • Conor Casey 49:25

  • Ollie Stack 55:15

  • GrĂ¡inne Hayes 1:12:20

  • Ger Mulhall 1:14:26
