Mr Oil County Road Relays 2026
A fantastic evening of road relay racing took place in the perfect venue of Wexford Racecourse on Wednesday evening as the Mr Oil County Road Relays took place. Well organised by the Wexford Athletics County Board and ably assisted by the Competition secretary Wexford Marathon Club the races were in full view to everyone as the 1.5km loop was visible allowing the unfolding races to be watched from the start/finish area. With each competing athlete completing 1 lap as part of a relay team the excitement built lap by lap as clubs pitted their athletes against one another. Great performances all round by our athletes who stepped up to race on the night.
Thanks to Wexford County Board, Wexford Marathon Club, our own members who volunteered and those who organised refreshments, John Dier who arranged the venue and managed our own teams and the two photographers Oliver Stack Photography & Sportsphoto Ireland on the night all who gave their time freely.
Our members were successful in securing two silver and three bronze medal finishes on the night, congratulations to everyone.
