Enniscorthy Open Track & Field / Quest Glendalough /Wexford Half Marathon & 10k
Enniscorthy Open Track & Field.
Enniscorthy AC hosted their popular Open Track & Field event last Sunday. Fantastic to see all the club colours on display from inside and outside the County.
The club were superbly represented by Louis Lau, Kyle Kennedy, Danny Fortune, Piper Farrell & Paige Farrell at the event where they all put in determined performances in very competitive races.
Massive well done to all five, fantastic to see you all wearing the club colours proudly at the event.
Quest Glendalough 2026
Great performances from our trio yesterday in the new format of Quest Races. They have removed the kayak sections this year but the races continue to challenge everyone as they push themselves. A combination of running and cycling presents a challenge especially around the terrain of Glendalough.
Sharon Martin only went and won the Sport Womens race over 40k finishing in 2:30:32
Jen Kehoe just missed a podium finishing 4th in the Challenge Women's race over 22.4k finishing in 1:34:17
Fran Rea finished 8th in his age cat in the Sport route over 40k finishing in 2:47:57
Well done folks and huge congratulations Sharon on your win.
Wexford Half Marathon & 10k 2026
Bear Races have a very popular race on their hands and it continues to grow. Huge numbers descended on Wexford Quay front this morning as they built a carnival atmosphere building towards the start time. The weather was kind and with bright skies and sunshine everyone was smiling and the array of club vests was a sight to behold. Among them was as usual a bunch of Menapians wearing their colours with pride. Some tackling half for the first time, some seasoned veterans of the distance and also the crew of 10k runners.
A fantastic performance from Noirín Doyle who won the womens 10k race in a fabulous time of 38:59 , lots more to come from this promising athlete. Congratulations Noirín
Well done to all our members who chased their own targets with PB times achieved, first time completing the distance achieved and some happy to complete the event after injuries.
