Fastlane 10k

John and Sharron Dier were in Clondalkin, Dublin this morning and tackled the Fastlane 10k event. A likeable course and both ran their fastest 10k of the year !

  • Sharron 1.15.25, 18th in F50,

  • John 51.41, 3rd in M60.

Ballymurn 5k

Well done to our three athletes Casey Jordan, Kirsty Hynds and Gareth Lloyd who ran the Ballymurn 5k on Sunday. A well known route at this stage with a gentle hill to finish !

As always a well organised event by all involved.

Leinster Schools Track & Field

Leinster Champion Alert

Tullamore saw a host of the province’s finest young athletes all proudly wearing their school colours as they battled for glory.

Four of the clubs athletes were in action and all can be very proud of their day of competition.

  • Josh Nolan Wexford CBS threw his 800g javelin 45.57m claiming a PB and a Leinster Gold medal for himself. Massive congratulations to Josh on becoming Leinster champion.

  • Elijah Page Redmond St Peters threw his 800g javelin 39.79m also setting himself a PB finishing 4th in a very competitive competition, well done Elijah.

  • Elijah was joined by his brother Lucas as they formed half the St Peters 4x100m relay team. A quality field saw them finish in 6th place. Well done guys.

  • Fiachra Mehigan Wexford CBS had an impressive run finishing in 8th place in the 3000m. Well done Fiachra.

Established in 2001, Menapians AC is a club for all - all ages and all abilities. With strong links to the local community, the club provides a welcoming, highly sociable expert-led base for its members. The club is part of the Athletics Wexford countywide network and is affiliated to the Athletics Association of Ireland (AAI). In broad terms, our aim is to instil in our members a love of athletics in all its forms and to help each and every one become the best that they can be.
