Menapians AC teamed up with Adamstown AC on Wednesday evening to host a Sproai Games event.

A fun and energetic evening was enjoyed by all the young athletes

Mr Oil Novice Cross Country

The cross country season kicked off in style today at JFK Park. The host club United Striders AC set out a course familiar to some on a good surface seeing athletes head downhill, followed by an incline which appeared longer after each lap was completed.

Our ladies were buzzing to get racing and what a performance we saw from them. Kirsty Hynds decided today was the day and she ran majestically to finish in 2nd place taking an individual county silver medal. Backing Kirsty up on our women's team was Casey Jordan finishing 5th, Paula Gondard 8th and womens club captain Ilze Bedrite 9th all pushing hard throughout the race. When the numbers were tallied our women claimed a well deserved Team Gold medal with 24 points.

A fantastic result after their performances today and huge congratulations to you all.

In the men's race our sole entrant, club captain John Dier put in a super run representing the club.

Congratulations to our club members today, a proud day for Menapians AC.

Defence Forces An Cosantoir 10k

Well done to Gareth Lloyd who ran the Defence Forces An Cosantoir 10k in the Phoenix Park today completing the run in 53.22

Not a bad days work finished off with a feed of curry !
